You can read the Minister's press release here.
A copy of the new Code of Practice can be downloaded here. You will note that the attached document includes the Industry Practice Guides to assist participants, especially new participants, better understand some of the standards in the Code.
As you are aware, the creation of the NSW Greyhound Welfare Code of Practice was a promise that the industry made following the overturning of the ban.
We are proud of the strong consultation work that the Association undertook with GWIC & GRNSW and we are confident that the end outcome was the best that could have been achieved for the industry whilst also showing the community how serious the issues of welfare and integrity are to our great industry.
The Code of Practice provides an outstanding platform on which to build a vibrant, sustainable, exciting, rewarding and strong industry and one that has true engagement and solid support from the community.
Please take the opportunity to read this important document and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to make contact with the Association.
