The recent announcement by the General Manager of the NSW GBOTA, Mr. Stephen Noyce, regarding his intention to resign his position and move on with his career has led the NSW GBOTA Board to pursue the following actions:
Firstly, the NSW GBOTA Board wishes Steve well in his future endeavours and would like to publicly thank him for his tireless effort and dedication over the past 3 years. He leaves the NSW GBOTA in a sound position and should be very proud of his many achievements during his tenure as General Manager. The role is a very challenging one that comes with a steep learning curve to come to grips with the nuances of the industry.
An external recruitment Agency will be engaged to search out the marketplace and source the best possible candidate for the role. Chairman Geoff Rose says, “we as Directors are not serving the bests interests of the Association unless we do an exhaustive search of the labour market to fill the role of our General Manager position”. He went on to state :
“The Board will also take this opportunity to review its existing structure to ensure we are meeting the needs of our members and the industry in both a commercial and advocacy perspective.
Recruitment for a new Metropolitan Racing Manager for Wentworth Park operations will also commence immediately”.
Details of who to contact and how to apply for relevant positions including copy of job descriptions will be posted on our web site once a recruitment agency has been appointed. (expected early next week). Advertising through relevant media sources will also be undertaken.
Mr. Rose concluded by stating “with a change of structure, introduction of new key personnel, combined with the current positive state of the industry the NSW GBOTA is looking forward to an exciting future”.
