The NSW GBOTA is pleased to advise that after working with local member, The Hon, Thomas George, GRNSW, Ladbrokes and local supporters including the Casino GRC that Lismore will commence work on the track reinstatement next week.

The work which will be undertaken by GRNSW will see the track returned fit for racing, after being flooded back in June.

The past several months have been particularly difficult for the Club staff, volunteers, supporters and local participants who have been unable to return to the venue.

The NSW GBOTA thanks Casino GRC for all of their assistance in covering in Lismore's absence, as well as support to have the track reinstated.

Ladbrokes have remained a strong supporter of Ladbrokes Park Lismore through the trying time, as well as providing additional support to the wider industry fight.

Additionally, a thank you to Nationals MP The Hon, Thomas George who has advocated significantly for the reinstatement of the track.

It is hoped work will allow trialling to resume on Tuesday, October 4, with greyhounds needed for the testing of all systems. If testing progress' as planned then racing could resume as early as October 11, pending GRNSW approval.

A review is currently being undertaken as to the timing of the Lismore Workers Club Cup series. Advice will be provided asap on this matter.
